How to Cook Easy Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings


1 large onion, diced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of celery soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Black pepper to taste
4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
2 cups frozen vegetables or peas and carrots, defrosted
1 can (8 pieces) refrigerated biscuits (Buttermilk, Country or Homestyle)


1. Garnish the bottom of your 6-quart crock pot with the onions. On top of them, put the chicken breasts.
2. Mix the cream of chicken, cream of celery, parsley, poultry seasonings and pepper in a bowl. Use this mix to cover the chicken breasts. Fill the rest of the crock pot with chicken broth.
3. Cook these beautiful ingredients for five hours on high.
4. 60 to 90 minutes before the time is up, roll the biscuits, make sure they are thin and flat. Cut the biscuits into 4 slices. Mix in the vegetables in the slow cooker and stir. Add the biscuits strips on top and cover immediately.
